At the end of 2021, New Rotterdam Brewing Collective, or NRBC, opened its first beer shop, Verdins, on Mauritsweg in the heart of Rotterdam. But NRBC is more than a beer shop.

We have been active in the craft beer scene since 2013, initially as a contract brewery in Rotterdam with Trots Bier Rotterdam. In 2015, a second brand emerged from a production mishap: Two Times. Under this brand, we give beers that would otherwise be discarded for various reasons a second chance.

NRBC is currently looking for a second location for Verdins, and it promises to be something special. Alongside a shop, it will feature a hidden bar and taproom. The beers we introduce there will be American-inspired and released under the name Monarch Brewery, named after the monarch butterfly, the insect with the longest migration route in the world.

Thanks to Verdins' stock, this new location will immediately become the brewpub with the largest selection of speciality beers in the Netherlands.

NRBC and Verdins focus on responsible business practices. For example, when shipping online orders, we reuse as much cardboard as possible from deliveries of our stock. We believe that every brewery and beer shop can contribute to a better tomorrow.
